Borja Montoto Cavestany was born in Madrid in September 1977.

In 2001 he obtained a degree in Biology with an Environmental Specialty from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has extensive training in quality management, environment and R+D+i. In March 2014, he completed the Corporate Responsibility Management Executive Program at the prestigious IE Business School. Borja speaks four languages ​​(Spanish, English, French and Portuguese).

In addition to positions held in various companies, he has been a representative before the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact and one of the Founding Trustees of the Spanish Construction Technology Platform (FPTEC). He has also been an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR) representing the associated companies, has participated for several years in the Quality, Environment and R&D Committees of the Spanish Association of Construction Companies (SEOPAN) and has been a member of the Plenary of the Advisory Council for the Certification of Construction Companies (CACEC).

Lastly, it should be noted that he is co-author of three reference sector guides, edited by AENOR, on the implementation of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and Environment (ISO 14001).
