Cuevas & Montoto Consultores ayuda a Grupo FCC a certificarse bajo la norma UNE 170001 de Accesibilidad Universal

Cuevas & Montoto is to help the FCC Group to become certified under the UNE 170001 Universal Accessibility standard

Cuevas & Montoto Consultores has recently reached an agreement with the FCC Group to help them design and implement a new Universal Accessibility Management System at their headquarters in Las Tablas (Madrid), with the aim of obtaining the UNE 170001 Universal Accessibility certification.

The project will consist, first of all, of taking advantage of the result of the ‘Gap Analysis’ already carried out in this headquarters under the UNE 170001-1:2007 standard (Part 1: DALCO criteria to facilitate accessibility to the environment) to then identify the additional requirements that the FCC Group lacks in order to comply with the UNE 170001-2:2007 standard (Part 2: Accessibility management system).

Subsequently, we will generate the documents of the new Accessibility Management System that are necessary to explain the new processes to be implemented in this matter, integrating them into the current Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) in force at this headquarters, and we will start these new processes, training the people involved in them so that they can carry them out properly, launching in parallel an accessibility improvement programme previously defined specifically for this building.

Finally, after carrying out the mandatory Internal Audit of the new Accessibility Management System, we will accompany the FCC Group during the External Audit process necessary to obtain the UNE 170001 Universal Accessibility Certification, to include its headquarters in Madrid.

For Cuevas & Montoto Consultores, this project represents new consultancy work on Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as the strengthening of its relationship with the FCC Group, world leader in environmental services and the construction and operation of infrastructures, adding this to two other projects carried out previously for this same client, consisting of two evaluation tasks of compliance with the DALCO Universal Accessibility Criteria both at its headquarters in Madrid (Las Tablas) and at its headquarters in Barcelona (Balmes).
